The FREE text logo is a little something we've included as a value added service for your template purchase. Each logo is 'custom' built for you, from scratch. In most cases, we use 2-3 different graphic programs, to get the look just right. Each logo takes about 15 minutes to produces and upload to your members account.

Why do we include the 'Website Name' graphic LOGO?

• Most of our members are not graphic designers. We really do want you to have a nice professional looking website when you're done. Every website has some type of 'Heading' or 'LOGO'. Trying to integrate an existing gif image, jpeg image, or even using standard HTML type for your company name in most cases just doesn't add the 'punch' that  a graphic logo does. And in some (extreme) cases, adding your own image or text type turns a really great looking website into something, well, not so great looking.

Why is the service FREE?

• This is a value added service! You are NOT REQUIRED to use this service (although it is free!) as we do provide instructions on how to replace the 'Website Name' with your own graphic or standard HTML text.

  • There may be an additional charge to do so, but it never hurts to ask

   

• How many 'characters' can I have?
  • There really isn't a limit, it's best to use good judgment. The default 'Website Name' fits quite nicely into the space available. And we want your custom TEXT logo to do the same. If you would like your FREE text logo to include 4 words of 32 characters, it's really up to the designer if that would work or not. Each template is unique, as it the space available. In most cases, we would reduce the font size to accommodate the additional words and characters. But that does not always work. There is a 'threshold' where a graphic font becomes so small it is not legible. My advice is to try to keep the logo as close to the default as possible. Just contact our design team if you have any questions, and we'll help you work something out.

   

• What if I want two lines of characters as I have more than 2 words?
  • This is a special request, but can be done.

   

• If I provide a graphic logo, can you put it into the template for me?
  • YES - and maybe even at no cost! You would need to provide a very clean AND transparent
    • PDS (photoshop)
    • PNG (fireworks)
    • EPS, or (most vector graphic programs)
    • AI(adobe illustrator)
    • TIFF (most graphic programs)
    • BITMAP (most graphic programs)

    With JPG and GIF images, I can almost guarantee at least a $25 service fee as these image types generally require the removal of any background colors.
     

  • TO ORDER: Just log into your members page and request the logo as normal. Instead of selecting 'FREE text LOGO' select the 'Graphic LOGO Insertion' option
  • There MAY be an additional charge, send in your request and we'll inform you if there would be a cost
  • We will only start the project upon your approval
  • In some cases, we may need to send you a new template package so please hold off on building your website until you've contact your designer

   

• What type of files do you need?
  • PNG, or PSD, EPS, or TIFF (TRANSPARENT PLEASE!!!)
  • JPEG and GIF images take more time as the background usually needs removing

• What if I need to change the logo some time in the future, will it cost me anything?
  • Yes, there is a $25 service fee

  Please keep in mind, we DO NOT charge this service fee in order to build up our bank accounts. You CAN watch the video and learn how to replace this logo yourself, or just remove the old logo and type in something new. The FREE text logo modification is a one time offer only

   

• Can my FREE text logo be used for PRINT applications?
  • NO, the FREE text LOGO is for WEB use only
  • You can request a PRINT quality version. The cost to product a PRINT Quality graphic is usually $49-$99

   

• Are there any copyright restrictions on my FREE text LOGO?
  • No. It's all yours, and you can do with it as you like

   

• What software do I need to change the LOGO graphic
  • You can replace the logo graphic with text if you like, using your HTML editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver)
  • You can create a new LOGO graphic using your favorite Graphic Editor (try XaraWebstyle 4.0 )
  • The cost of additional software varies as there are so many programs available
  • To re-produce the same type of graphic we've designed you would need:
    • XaraWebstyle 4.0
      (or)
    • Macromedia Fireworks 8
       
    • Macromedia Flash ( MX 2004 / 8 )

    With these three programs, you could create your own graphic logo image. Just remembers to 'export' the new image as an SWF file and name it

    website-name.swf (save it to the 'flash/logo' folder.
